A visit to Scotland in the late 1950/1960's, starting at Carlisle on the LMS routes to Glasgow & around the north, ending at Edinburgh for a trip back south via the LNER. By Peter Groom

12th December 2017.  Leicester Railway Society members Christmas Get together. 

 

16th January 2018.  STEAM ON THE SCREEN 2017. By Graham Briggs.  Graham returns to give our annual feast of action on the main line and preserved railways in 2017, shown from D.V.D. on the big screen.

15th May 2018. A brand New Programme, Sheffield to Cleethorpes via Brigg from 1980.  By Stephen Gay from Sheffield.

 

6th June 2018. "BURTON RAILWAY SOCIETY QUIZ" This event takes place at Burton on Trent. Please arrive at the Burton Railway Society by 7.15p.m.

 

13th June 2018. "Leicester Society of Model Engineers"  Open evening, which the LRS members are cordially invited to the venue at "Abbey Park Miniature Railway" from 6.30p.m. onwards.

 

19th June 2018. "A trip on the Master Cutler Part 1"  Marylebone to Woodford Halse. By Chris Youett  from Coventry.

 

17th July 2018.  "Quiz Night"  "The Leicester Railway Society annual Quiz"  Hosted by our members, Stephen Hewitt and Paul Smith. Come along and test your Railway knowledge. You may win the prize money.

 

21st August 2018. "Member's Evening"  After this years very successful  presentation by the Great Central, Something special to follow again in 2018. Presented by our Secretary, Michael Chapman.

 

18th September 2018. "Victoria to Victoria" (Great Central) Sheffield to Nottingham. By Ken Grainger  from Sheffield.

 

16th October 2018. A Personal trip on Steam around New Zealand & Australia. By Mike Fish  from Humberside.

 

30th October 2018.  THIS IS AN AFTERNOON MEETING 2.00 p.m. until 4.30 p.m./5.00 p.m. "The Celebration of 150 Years of London St Pancras". This is a new programme. By John Downing from Northampton .
